| Qantas New A380 Business Class |
Qantas's A380 first delivered in 2008. While Qantas currently owns 12 A380's, their First Class was quite solid. But their Business Class is not, it just features the same “Bone” as their angle-flat B747-400s and updated IFEs, it is a fully-flat forward configuration but they don’t have ottoman and also lack of storage. Qantas A380’s IFE is not those screen build in front of you instead they are stored in armrest.

Qantas has announced that to retrofit A380’s to feature Thomas Vantage XL seats in Business Class. The same ones you found on Qantas B787s. That is a huge upgrade over the lie-flat seat without an ottoman. Qantas will also refresh first class to have “Bigger Screens”, that was not a big refreshing and they also state that they will have “More Comfortable Seats”.
Qantas New Premium Economy
Qantas will also rolled out a new Premium Economy product, simliar to the ones on Qantas B787’s. This Cabin will be on Upper Deck in 2-3-2 Configuration.
Economy will also introduce new seat cushions and Economy will going to have newer IFE’s.
Qantas Refresh on A380
Qantas had lost 30 Economy for 6 Business + 25 Premium Economy, I can’t imagine how tight it will be.
Qantas A380 Retrofitte Bottom Line
Qantas has done pretty good job to retrofit their A380’s, this is expected to be completed by 2019-2020. Qantas A380’s seat cushion in all class expect first class looks very old which they will introduce new seats and new IFE’s onboard! This retrofit also means that, soon Qantas A380 will be Industry leading!
